Established in 1958, Foundation Academy is Central Florida’s top Christian school, voted Readers’ Choice for Best Private Christian School three years running. Foundation Academy offers quality education for students aged Pre-K-12, instilling important values and principles that will last long after graduation.
THE CHALLENGE
Our challenge was to take this prestigious private school's three distinct campuses and market them as a strong, singular and unified school that stands above the rest in Central Florida. With a diverse range of users, use cases and many possible user journeys, our team had to streamline the process and make it faster and easier to get to the most relevant content – no matter who the persona was.
THE APPROACH
To unite three individual campuses, we needed to think holistically. Our design gave the website a fresh user interface, weaving in triads of imagery and color to merge the three campuses into a single, unified front. The new website's imagery showcased the blend of all the different Foundation campuses and everything they had to offer.

With so many different visitors to the site, — from students, parents and faculty to alumni, potential new students and their families — it was important that the site itself functioned as an all-in-one resource and be accessible to everyone. To accomplish that, user-friendliness and performance were at the center of Foundation’s new site.
No matter the user journey, it was important that everything was only a few clicks away. To show the diversity in Foundation’s campuses, we created unique, individual pages for each location with information on classes, faculty and staff, athletics, the arts and relevant news for each school. And for families looking to stay connected, our development team integrated Foundation Academy’s Spirit Store, parent resources, school calendar, family portal, application page and other helpful tools into a one-stop shop.
All of these elements helped to create a website that was designed and developed to welcome users to the Foundation Academy community.

From Concept to Reality
Foundation Academy’s holistic approach to education, emphasizing faith, academics, fine arts and athletics, plus their commitment to community, served as the bedrock for their new site’s design and architecture. User experience is always at the heart of our approach to web design and development. For Foundation Academy, we envisioned a welcoming, inviting site that could build a sense of community even in a digital space.
To achieve this, we focused on the user and gave a face to Foundation Academy. A personal letter from the Academy's principal, President Buckles, and testimonials from parents in their own words showed users just what makes Foundation Academy so special. This approach worked in harmony with our design to create a sense of belonging to the Academy's community before they even stepped foot on campus!
