With a mission to deliver the highest level of pediatric healthcare to patients and families in the Central Florida area, Interlachen Pediatrics is a family of dedicated doctors, nurses and staff members across two office locations in Maitland and Oviedo, Florida. In addition to providing the best in pediatric care, Interlachen is also committed to educating families about child development and adolescent health.
THE CHALLENGE
As a successful pediatric medical home dedicated to providing long-term care and education, Interlachen originally came to us in need of a website that communicated that message in a more streamlined way. After we completed their website design in Drupal 6, we later learned that this version of Drupal went end of life, meaning it was no longer being supported. To ensure we lived up to our client-partnership commitment, we recognized this problem and dedicated ourselves to finding a solution for our valued client.
THE APPROACH
Our approach to the new Interlachen Pediatrics website started with building it in a secure CMS: Drupal 8. This resolved security issues that were present on Drupal 6, allowed for easier backend management, and also made it responsive so it would actually show up in search results. From there, we addressed areas in need of updating/cleaning, including the navigation menu, website imagery, content layout and design, workflows for forms, and the overall UX of the site as a whole.
